Madison Blaze SoccerA Club Independent Organization
Who we are
The Madison Blaze is a family-friendly club soccer organization based in Madison, AL. Our players come from all over the greater Huntsville / Madison / Athens area to play competitive soccer. We accommodate families with multiple children by having our teams play at the same tournaments, we do our best to limit nights at the practice field, and have some of the lowest fees in the area. Will your family be the next to join?

Madison Blaze Soccer Club
End of Week Update
Things are looking good as we transition from Club Independent to become our own Club.
As you all know, Scott Coon started the Blaze and has worked selflessly and tirelessly to grow it into the family we are today. In his true selfless way, Scott has opted to step away from the board and allow us the autonomy to work with Club Independent while transitioning into our own Club.
We are so grateful to Scott for all he has done and continues to do. After 2.5 years of hard work, Scott deserves some rest and time to enjoy this Club he created. Scott remains engaged with his 05g Team and will continue working with his local contacts to procure fields for all our teams.
If you see Scott, please give him a wave (we have to social distance) and thank him for creating this awesome program.
Please be assured, your Madison Blaze Board is diligently working to ensure our Club starts out on the right foot!
We are working closely with the Alabama Soccer Association (ASA) and Club Independent to ensure constant insurance coverage while we transition our players, coaches, team managers and other volunteers . ASA holds the insurance policy for all soccer clubs within their association. Our existing coverage under Club Independent will simply transfer to our new Club
Our player, coach and team manager registrations will port over as well.
Lori, the Club Independent registrar, has graciously continued to register our players since we started this process and will continue to do so until the transition is complete.
Each team will continue to practice at their scheduled times and places. We are still on track to attend all tournaments your team discussed during your Team Parent Meetings. We are, however, unable to host the August 15 group of friendlies. Club Independent cannot authorize this event given the timing of our transition.
We are thankful for your support during this transition and we are hopeful this transition will continue to be smooth and relatively stress free for everyone.
We look forward to talking with you and seeing you on the pitch!

We are adding new teams every season. Don't see your age yet? Fret not, we may be starting one this fall. Contact us to let us know you are interested.
If you have players and are looking to start a team, let us know and we will help you make that happen.
We have some players already for 12B and 12G teams but we need more.
We train, play, and win soccer, but our goal is character.
We play in 3 or 4 tournaments each fall and schedule additional games almost every weekend from August through the beginning of November. Practices for the season typically start around late July and are generally from 6 to 7:30 pm.
Travel typically includes tournaments in Birmingham, Nashville or Chattanooga. Most of our games will be in the Madison-Huntsville-Decatur area. We strive to schedule our practices, tournaments and games together to help out families with multiple children playing for our teams.
We also schedule friendly matches throughout the season to fine tune our game play between tournaments. Friendly matches are typically on Saturdays, weeknights, and sometimes on Sunday afternoon.

The cost for the past two seasons have been around $300, and that includes uniforms and tournament fees. We also minimize the amount of travel required to play to help keep the costs low along with minimizing the impact on families. Don’t let fees deter you from having your child try out for the Madison Blaze! We run a fundraiser each fall and all the money will go into the teams to help lower our costs. We work with families in need of financial assistance, up to and including offering scholarships to help offset costs.
We have already established teams for the 2020-2021 season. Please submit a Player Interest form for more information. Check back in April 2021 for information on tryouts for the 2021-2022 season.
